Mediterranean Diet Rich in Olive Oils and Vinegars
Start by changing eating habits and make your diet a new way of life. Be sure your new way of eating includes Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar and plenty of exercise. A Mediterranean Diet consists of 6 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Try grilling your fruits and finish with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Saute your vegetables in extra virgin or infused flavored olive oil. Eat 3 to 4 servings of fish per week. Also include Poultry like Duck, Turkey and Chicken. Try to eat Whole Grain breads, rye, brown rice and pasta. Use Olive oil in place of butter. Olive Oil and balsamic vinegar make a tasty marinade or a delicious salad dressing. Substitute flavored Olive Oil in baking. Look for Olive Oil based baking recipes. Balsamic Vinegars can be used by brushing over meats for grilling fish and chicken or on cheeses and desserts!
